Tim is a New York City bartending veteran who’s worked at some of the best bars in the city during his career. Notable venues include BED New York, Flatiron Lounge, Goldbar & Sweetwater Social over a career that’s spanned 20 years. In addition to bartending, he has spent 10 years consulting in the beverage industry, where he got his start as the Event Coordinator and Junior Partner in Contemporary Cocktails Inc., a global beverage-consulting firm based out of New York City, before going off to start his own company In Good Spirits LLC.
Hired to execute high-end cocktail catering, Tim has coordinated and executed the beverage programs at numerous culinary events including: The New York Food & Wine Festival, Tales of the Cocktail and The Manhattan Cocktail Classic to name a few. Tim has also been featured making cocktails on various television programs and radio, such as VH1’s Morning Buzz, Fox & Friends, PBS’s “Secrets of NY”, Martha Stewart Radio and the ‘Tasted’ channel’s ‘Behind the Drink’. His talents haven’t gone unnoticed by journalists and his cocktails and know-how have been included in publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Beverage Media, and IMBIBE Magazine.
For the past several years he has held the position of Beverage Director at Goldbar & Sweetwater Social in Manhattan. And in the past 2 years, has represented the bartender founded 86 Spirits Company here in New York City.
Tim is well versed in every aspect of cocktail & spirits education, and has spent considerable time traveling to further his craft. Education has played a key role in his journey and he has had the privilege of traveling far and wide to: Oaxaca, Mexico; Rio De Janiero, Brazil & Cognac, France to name a few of his favorites for firsthand experience in spirit distillation, ageing & blending.
Tim is noted throughout the industry for his calm, cool and collected demeanor, strict work ethic, “nice guy” attitude and overall - ultimate bartender persona. He’s a proud graduate of BAR 5 Day, the award-winning comprehensive training course in spirits and mixology, and currently lives on the Upper West Side neighborhood of Manhattan where he just might house more spirit bottles than cabinet space allows.
