Having worked 20 years in the restaurant industry, Anthony prides himself on being a well-rounded, jack-of-all-trades restaurant professional. The bulk of his experience is in front of the house service and management positions, but his experience also includes various consulting and education roles, as well as a good amount of time behind stick.
He got his start as a server in high school and continued on as a server through college. After earning a degree in Business at Indiana University, Anthony went on to work for 5 years as a manager with Darden Restaurants, parent company of Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse and other fine dining and specialty concepts. With each role he took on, he had a desire to continue learning as much as he could. Eventually he developed a strong beverage base having spent time working in various establishments and immersing himself in the worlds of beer, wine, and spirits. Most recently he worked for 3 years as the Beverage Program Director at EAT Gastropub, a leading establishment that is doing its part in influencing the food and beverage scene on Long Island. Currently he is establishing an event production company focusing on pop-up bars and restaurants at various local event spaces.
Combined with his unrelenting passion for hospitality and his knack for operations, Anthony has developed a reputation for himself as one of Long Island’s leading restaurant professionals. Known locally in the industry as “Chico”, people have come to expect that when they step into Chico’s bar they will find something that they’re looking for and it will be served to them with a smile… followed by a few good laughs of course.
