At once savory and sweet on the nose, contemplative notes of roasted chestnut, brown sugar, seagrass, tobacco, and flint. The palate is distinguished and dangerously smooth, with smoke and cubeb pepper offering depth and framing dried tropical fruit and nuts. A fine sipping rum, indeed.
