Deep characters of dried and stewed fruits such as raisin, and plum meld with pronounced aromas of toasted almond, sobacha (roasted buckwheat tea). There is a particular savory quality to the malt whiskey, having an umami quality similar to roasted shiitake mushroom and grilled Unagi (fresh water eel).
