The runner up comes from the same producer, The Hare Wine Co. Frontier Collection Vidal Ice Wine 2017 Niagara-On-The-Lake, with a high score of 95 Points.
The cool climate of Ontario is proving to be ideally suited to Icewine of the highest quality. The dry wines from the region also pulled in scores over 90 Points, with the Adamo Estate Winery Pinot Noir 2017, showing characteristic varietal flavor. With the industry in Ontario growing in quality and popularity, we can expect to see sommeliers adding these wines to beverage lists in the coming year.
